ComplianceNet Pty Limited operates this site on behalf of Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) Pty Ltd.
ComplianceNet is a Australian registered trademark of ComplianceNet Pty Limited ACN 094 157 365. ComplianceNet Pty Limited is a fully owned subsidiary of Tankstream Systems Pty Limited ACN 59160523384 ("Tankstream"). What personal information do we collect at ComplianceNet?
Personal information is basically information that identifies you as an individual. If you are just visiting our website to browse through the information here about our products and services, we will not collect any personal information about you. If you send us an email, we will record the personal information you send to us, such as your name, postal address, email address and the content of your email.
To use ComplianceNet programs, our customers must provide identifying information about the employees/contractors that they wish to enrol as Learners. This will usually be the Learner's name and email address, but may vary. Customers are then issued with user IDs and Passwords so that managers and Learners can access the relevant online learning programs and tests through this website.
If you are logging in to use one of our online learning programs, our system will, therefore, record that you have logged in. Our system will also record the time you spend online and, if you are taking an online test, it will record your test results.
What other information do we collect?
The ComplianceNet website uses "cookies". A cookie is a small data file that many websites send back to your IP address when you visit them. A cookie allocates to each visitor a unique identifier but it does not identify the visitors personally. This information is not, therefore, personal information. Information collected through using cookies helps website operators to understand user traffic patterns.
If you prefer not to receive cookies, you should be able to set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies and refuse them whenever your browser alerts you to their presence. You can also refuse all cookies by turning them off in your browser.
Why do we collect personal information?
Collecting information about the use of ComplianceNet products by individual (and identifiable) Learners enrolled by our customers is a fundamental part of our services. We collect and store it on our systems so that it is available to our customers for legal compliance monitoring purposes.
The personal information we collect through email exchanges with you will be used to respond to any inquiries you have made. We may also use this information to identify what other ComplianceNet products and services you may be interested in and then send you material about those other products and services. If you are using this website as a Learner enrolled in a ComplianceNet program, you will not be sent this kind of material by us, but we may contact you to ask you your views on the program/s you have completed.
We will give you the option not to receive any further promotional communications from us each time we contact you.
How is your personal information stored?
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we have collected from you is held securely.
How can you access and correct the personal information we hold?
Learners enrolled in a ComplianceNet program will be able to see their own test results but not anyone else's.
You have certain rights to know what personal information we hold about you and how it is being used, and certain rights to request that the personal information we hold about you be updated or corrected. You can request further information about these issues by emailing us at czalai@FTAlliance.com.au.
Will your personal information be disclosed outside ComplianceNet?
We will not disclose your personal information to unrelated third parties without your prior consent unless disclosure falls within one of these exceptions:
- We need to outsource some of our operations to third party service providers
- We reasonably believe it is necessary for law enforcement purposes or in the case of a health emergency
- We are required or authorised by law
- We reasonably believe it is necessary for another purpose authorised by law or to protect our legitimate interests.
